Nothing shy of a miracle, joining our family with a mere 9 hours notice, she's the best leap of faith we ever closed our eyes and made! She's spunky, yet sweet. She was born just 4 days after her big brother Jude's second birthday. He was elated to meet her, but didnt know that she'd grow up and steal his toys. I often feel more like a referee than a mother, but I'd never have it any other way. Keller Winn was named a combination of family names- Keller is my maiden name, and Winn is my mother-in-law's maiden name. So together, she's Keller Winn and it suits her. It's special, different, and southern. It's the epitome of her attitude and heart of gold. Her nickname is Sassquatch, because she's loud, tall, and has a lot of hair! However, we mostly call her Sister. She's got a desire to do things her own way, and if you interfere with her plan of action, you will reap her wrath! If you offer her food, a drink, a toy that she doesn't want, she will straight swat it out of your hand and send it flying across the living room. She's hands down going to be the sweetest future mama- in fact, when you ask her how to comfort a baby, she takes whatever she's holding and bounces it up and down. "Sshh, Sshh, Sshh." Baby doll, hair brush, water bottle. You name it, consider it comforted. Her story is one that I am so thankful to sit the sidelines and watch unfold. After a few traumatic experiences before birth, she was born quick, with very little notice, and came out guns-a-blazing! Doctors weren't sure exactly what her life would look like, but she's here and defying all the odds! We cannot wait to see what and who she becomes! We know she has defied the odds, but desire to see exactly how much determination and drive that this gives her in order to change the world. My sweet sassball, you will move mountains bigger than those crystal-clear, baby blues.
